The Soil Moisture Sensor Module detects the amount of water present in soil by measuring its electrical conductivity. The sensor consists of two probes that are inserted into the soil. When moisture increases, the soil conductivity increases, allowing the sensor to detect the moisture level. The module includes a comparator circuit (LM393) that converts the sensor signal into analog and digital outputs. The sensitivity can be adjusted using the onboard potentiometer. This sensor is widely used in automatic irrigation systems, smart agriculture projects, plant monitoring systems, and IoT-based farming applications.
